The starting point for data transfer is the GRI file (Grouped Invoices), which contains all necessary billing information. POM's invoice-to-cash platform converts this data into invoices in the hospital’s branding and ensures:

Multi-channel delivery via email, post, eBox, patient portal… or even directly in the Payconiq by Bancontact app.

Online payment options via a QR-code or payment button on the invoice. Patients can choose to pay immediately or by the due date.

Transition to digital invoicing by requesting consent on the payment page (after scanning the QR code on the paper invoice).

Automated follow-up of unpaid invoices (including advanced segmentation and personalization).

The integration of POM with ZORGI also has a strong impact on hospital billing teams. Their work becomes easier, more efficient, and less repetitive, leaving more time for personal interactions. Staff can see at a glance what action was sent to which patient and can resend a message with one click.

Thanks to the integration with ZORGI ERP, reminder phases can be set to be as long or as short as the hospital wishes. Where unnecessary waiting times often occur between phases today, follow-up actions in POM can seamlessly connect. For example, if an email is not opened, a letter or SMS can be sent automatically.

In addition, POM automatically reconciles payments at invoice level, preventing issues such as changing structured references (OGMs) between reminder phases. Partial payments are also correctly processed and forwarded.

Through a clear dashboard, hospitals also have real-time insight into the status of each invoice: sent, delivered, paid, or under follow-up. This makes reporting easier and immediately highlights problematic cases.

Proven results in practice

An increasing number of hospitals are relying on POM and the integration with ZORGI, including AZ Maria Middelares, AZ Monica, AZ Sint-Blasius, az groeninge, and VITAZ.

The results speak for themselves. On average, 70% of invoices are paid within 10 days, which significantly accelerates hospitals’ cash flow. They also need to send up to 18% fewer reminders, noticeably reducing the administrative workload. Patient satisfaction reaches an impressive 93%, demonstrating a smoother and more user-friendly billing experience. Finally, the paper burden – and the high postal costs that come with it – is visibly reduced: one hospital, for example, increased its share of digital invoices from 2% to 22% in just a few months.
