POM is launching partner of European payment service Wero

Yesterday, EPI (European Payments Initiative) announced that Wero 🇪🇺 will eventually replace the Payconiq mobile payment service. Wero is an initiative of 16 major European banks, including BNP Paribas Fortis, KBC, ING and Belfius. POM is ready to help support this evolution. As a leading payment player in Belgium, POM was selected by Wero as a launching partner.

Wero is an initiative of 16 major European banks.

We are therefore proud to announce that we will integrate Wero as a payment option within our platform. This means that in the future, end users will be able to pay invoices easily and securely via Wero, in addition to the existing payment options.

For companies, Wero also means faster payments (because transactions happen via the instant payments scheme), higher payment limits and improved data sharing mechanisms (e.g. the payer's name will also be included for online invoice payments).

So we firmly believe that Wero, with its focus on interoperability and European scalability, will be a valuable addition to the Belgian payment network.

Finally, we would like to emphasize that both Bancontact and Payconiq remain fully supported in our platform until further notice. We are in close contact with Bancontact Payconiq Company and EPI to manage the future transition from Payconiq to Wero for our customers.

Our mission is to offer everyone a smooth and worry-free payment experience - now and in the future!
